Hello
I'm very frustrated, my Opel astra h has been overheating over 6 times, replaced radiator and gaskets because the gaskets have been burning. I don't really know what's the problem, most times it doesn't last a day after replacing the gasket, it just burned within 5km .so we put paper gasket it lasted for 4 months, now the gasket it burnt again .please advice.

Friend had a similar problem, it was blocked waterways on the block. Things fell in there while working.

You are not going to get the answers you are looking for here, perhaps the best way forward is to say where you are and ask for recommendations on mechanics or workshops around your area, perhaps someone knows someone who can do things right the first time, I have a feeling plenty of corners were cut in all the previous repairs.

Overheating is the thermostat, or the fan not turning on for some reason.

Or driving without coolant, people at work check me funny when I open the hood to check if everything is okay, one guy even remarked that he takes a car for service and the dealer should check these things, in between the services he does not worry about anything.

Yeah, but surely after the first time it overheats you learn to check. Newer cars give a false sense of security maybe, I never check our Kia that the wife drives it's fine. But my astra requires a top up every second week.

you should find a reliable mechanic, either you have some sort of blockage, thermostat issue or radiator fan isnt working etc.
My bet is on the head not being skimmed or torqued properly. People take that for granted, one can easily cut corners or other forms of repairs on a car but once the engine is opened you better make sure it's done right.

Opel Corsa's and Astra's are so badly engineered. Never ever heard anyone who hasn't had a problem with a Corsa.

Probably the reason why Opel has such a bad name.

whilst that is important, i dont beleive that this would keep making the gasket burn

Yes the fan wouldn't turn automatically, but the mechanic now put the fan sturdy like immediately you on ignition the fan will turn until the car us off.

We check every morning the water is still there.

It has been skimmed 2 times, mechanic said we can't skim more than this
