Sup, for the guys who drive the Corsa B(2 door), or the guys into sound, I wanna know what's the biggest size battery that I could fit into my Corsa B? It's a 1.4i LITE, but the car has been slightly modded(bodykit, sideskirts, 17" mags, custom interior etc), so any traces of it being a "lite" has been permanently removed :D The car was having trouble starting recently, so I've disconnected my sound wiring to the battery and it's fine for now. Took it to an Auto-Elec yesterday, and was told the battery is almost caput - which I agreed because the current battery is over 4 years old. So I wanna get a bigger battery than the standard one and at what cost. Replacing the current size would be in the region of R400-R500. Any help would be appreciated ;)

look for a guy nickname mappy or MAPLASSIE...i think he is big into corsa's

otherswise try the opelforums

Mappy is not registered on this forum. but he told me to tell you this:

"he has 657 batteries in both his corsa's and as far as he knows they can take up to 680".

otherwise on the fordownersST forums there is a guy called jules, who is a magician with sound and is in jhb...go look him up

Thank u guys, reason I'm asking on this forum, most "motoring" sites/forums are blocked at work.
I appreciate the help though ;)

Haha, modding a car is not about putting on big wheels, every possible skirt and a rear wing, Channa! :p

Anyway unless you're running more than one amp, there should be no need for another battery. If there is then there is something wonky with your install.

"In connection with automobiles, modding often refers to engine tuning, remapping of a vehicle's engine control unit or customization of the bodywork." LINK

A second amp will be going in really soon with a sub, so I'll definately need a bigger batt, I've had my current install in for about 3 and a 1/2 years so there's no issue there. My current battery has been in use for the past 4 years now, was told by an auto-elec(after a battery test) that I need to change it, so I rather get a bigger battery to handle the extra sound once fitted.

@Gnome, I know for a fact that the Corsa B can take a bigger battery than the standard one, just didn't know the exact size ;)
