Anything wrong with these? I see they average around 130k for a 2008 model, nice power behind them.

Aside from the risk that it has likely been driven hard, I cannot fault the quality of the Corsa Ds. I've driven a 5-door Essentia for the past 2 years and to date it has been a pleasure.

Not the only thing that will be behind them. Leave some oil marks behind them too.

I've driven 3 Opel's since 2002 and the biggest deal I've had was replacing the clutch, fuel pump, radiator and refurbing the injectors on the GSi between the 180,000 & 195,000 kay marks. Not a drop of oil was ever seen and not a puff of smoke.

Was just meant as a joke :)

I own a 2008 Corsa OPC, love every KM.

Yes there have been a few piston issues with a few of them, but most engines had been replaced under warranty.

Try to get a full service history from GM via the cars VIN number, also a bolt on warranty just for some extra piece of mind.

Join the OPC forum to get more info on the car and you may even find one on sale:

Is there a better cross of sport/comfort in the price range? Would have loved a convertible - but everything in the low 100ks is crap.

I drive an Opel too, having owned many as well, all 20xe powered.

However with a budget of 130k I would rather go for an e36 M3. You can get very good condition ones at that price if performance is something you are looking for.

And contrary to popular belief, those cars are not actually expensive to maintain, worse case scenario your whole engine blows it will cost 15k for a different one and they are not that difficult to source.

cars are not investment. value goes down like ruling party loosing members to eff and da

Precisely why buying one second hand at R130k is an absolute bargain compared to the idiot who originally paid double that for it brand new.

Although some of us idiots have this strange opinion that we can choose how we spend our money and also enjoy a new car. You can have my seconds if you want. Interested in an Astra OPC? ;)

Would have loved to drive one, but I'd be weary of buying it second hand. As someone already mentioned it could have been driven very hard seeing as though it is an OPC. For now I make do with a 74kw Essentia and Astra G 1.6, but fully paid.
