open in firefox opens in chrome sometimes

not sure what's going on, but every now and then when i open a link somewhere it opens in the built-in chrome browser (i wish it didn't but i accept it), then in the menu at the top right, i tap "open in firefox", but then it opens in chrome anyway. it doesn't happen every time, but it should *technically* not happen at all.

anyone else get this sometimes? i'm on android 10, nokia 8 plus.

Reset app defaults?
Sometimes major confusion happens between apps opening a link... (some defaults are set)
