Open PVR stick

Does anyone know how to create your own open pvr stick for OVHD?

I recently purchased a 32Gig Open PVR stick. For those are using one, what is your experience like? I find that my recordings tend to be not very smooth and breaks up or skips quite a bit. I also at times found that chunks a the recording is missing. Could it be my stick that's the problem or is that just how it records. (Normal viewing is fine with no skips or transmission breakups.)

Checkers for R199. Was looking for the 64Gig for a while now but couldn't find it anywhere so settled for the 32Gig.

The 32 Gig sticks are available all over the place like Game, Makro, Pep Stores, etc. at around the same price. Only store that was more expensive was Ellies
