ChatGPT owner interested in buying Google Chrome

OpenAI would be interested in buying Google’s Chrome browser if a federal court orders it to be spun off, the head of ChatGPT said in a court hearing Tuesday.

“Yes, we would, as would many other parties,” Nick Turley, OpenAI’s ChatGPT chief said in response to a question about whether the company would seek to buy Google’s browser.

Forked or not, you won't get 65% of the market to switch to a new product overnight. Chrome has too much of a market share for people to change course.
 
As if I needed even more reason to no use Chrome.

Especially considering the enterprise management angle.

Which is also what would make the entire spinning off nonsense a bit weird.
 
As long as people are still able to congregate in the millions on the web, it doesn't matter who owns what. Intergration is what we prefer.
