OPENAL32.dll error

Hi there
I installed a new game, and the on the start-up the game give error-Openal32.dll not there.
So i downloaded and placed it in my windows/system folder. Now the game gives me this error: "The procedure entry point alcGetString could not be located in the dynamic link library OpenAL32.dll"

I have windows7, 32 bit with 4 gig memory, no SB sound card, and Nvidia 430 screen card

Update GFX Drivers. Someone said this fixed their problem - there might be a newer version though. http://www.nvidia.com/object/physx-9.10.0513-driver.html

what game is it exactly?


if it's lost planet 2 or half life 2,you might as well give up.

I know you get this error with 3dMark06. Just download openal and install...

get new gfx driver. Uninstall old. Restart. Install new. Now instal directx and openal.exe (can download if the copy on the game disk dont work) . Oh btw run all installers as admin.
