It has come under my attention that OpenBrowse is some form of software installed on Windows PCs. I have a few questions, I prefer to ask the customers rather than the ISP. Though they can answer those questions, left unanswered.

1. Does OpenBrowse work under Linux?
2. Is it possible to use ICQ after the initial cap strikes?
3. Does local torrents and local ftp servers, like Ubuntu or Linux mirrors work once the cap strikes?
4. How does the OpenBrowse package really work? Proxies? Routes? Tunnels?

1) contact openweb for a linux solution
2)
3) Everything local works up to 30gb, nothing to do with openbrowse though
4) OpenBrowse is a locally situated proxy that lets you view international sites using your local data. OpenRouter is a program you install that makes it easier to use the proxy as well as making access to local sites bypass the proxy

I would also like to know from current users on openbrowse, if they can log onto steam, and wow once you have reached your cap.

I have asked openweb about steam and they said "Steam might connect occassionally, but we do not officially support it."

Your input would be appreciated.

OpenBrowse is for BROWSING ONLY. If you can connect to anything else, it's purely by chance. OpenWeb doesn't support anything else than browsing on OpenRouter. WoW won't work and while Steam MIGHT work, it most definately won't work most of the time.

ICQ does work via a proxy. Am less excited about OpenBrowse now.
If it doesn't work for Linux users then I will stay with Imagine.

wont IS be able to open the steam port so we can log on to the network? after thats its local games!
