OpenELEC USB

Yes - I've already posted this in another section, but reckon the TV folk may be better suited to help me :/

I got my HP Microserver, downloaded some build of OE, unzipped onto the USB, double clicked the file to make it bootable (the blue screen pops up and I enter the letter) ... and it seems OK (it changed the volume name to OpenELEC, but no files viewable on my Win 7 machine?)

I assumed it was right and took it to the server ... selected the USB in the boot priority ... but still says 'boot failure'.

What am I doing wrong?
Possibly the wrong build?

the hp uses the generic build
no idea why its not booting into the setup screen....

you are supposed to be able to see the files on the usb install stick

Would like to get OpenElec running off flash drive for quick boot into xbmc.
