Opening connector

Anybody know how to open this connector without causing too much damage? Found on an electric blanket

Use a mallet instead of a hammer?

Very likely that it's heat sealed in which case it's breaking it to get it open.. unless you have a Dremel tool to cut along the seam..

Have one and will use as last resort but hoping somebody knows how to "pop" it open

If it was the pop open type you could have easily figured it out.

I tried out a mallet on mine, and it easily popped open. By the way, not to derail the thread - but quick question: Best way to put the 7 shards back together?
