Hi, I have a (very) basic debian server with LDAP for apache access. I am root and want to know from the fundi's how I can change the password for one of the LDAP users (called 'admin').
I don't currently have ldappasswd utility on the box... I may be able to connect to the web and use apt-get to install it (not sure which package it comes with - certainly not currently installed).
So - how do I do this - do I have to connect to the web or can I change the pwd some other way. I assume hashing with SSHA (again, can't recall where to find that detail - don't recall it in the slapd.conf file). Is there not a way I can edit a file and insert the SSHA hash? I can see the current hash but I have tried a few utils to crack it and no go so far.
Any help would be appreciated!
