I have various names in the first column, and the list is getting longer.

How can i have the names sorted in Alphabetical order? Whats the function i need to put in so it automatically does this each time i add a new name?

Just remember, my nic is actually begins with a hidden 'z' ;)

Seriously, (did i say actaully say that) can anyone help?

And no its not people's names (nor is it nics)

I couldnt be bothered searching openoffice forums for 2 hours with a lack-lustre latency crappy interent nonsense that i have to put up with every day.

Boodles I don't know of a function but will it be to hard to do a "Sort Ascending" every time you enter new data?

Or am I understanding your question incorrectly and your searching for the "Sort Ascending" button?

Regards,

Its kinda like this

ZX 4 5 6 7 8 50
er 3 5 6 7 8 90
rh 5 6 7 8 8 50
ty 5 6 7 7 8 54

Yes, look i can sort after adding, but first i need to sort, and thats a pain.

I've just found the sort-ascending under the data tab.

I'll play with that for awhile.

Thanks.

Thanks, D--B, that did the trick.

No problem Boodles, I uploaded a picture to show you where it is in the tool bar.

You will also see I selected all the cells, because it will only sort the selected cells. So if you do not select all the needed cells it will scramble you data around.

Regards,

ps: it's d dash underscore dash b ;)
