Evening all.

Anyone pickup an issue where some of your netflix shows have disappeared using netflix on afrihost. Or getting an error about using a proxy ?

As a test i also connected using a rain and telkom sim and then all the shows are there and working .....
 
Nope, never noticed this. Mind ye I don’t watch a lot more than the main stuff infrequently.. but hear no complaints from wife.

I also didn't notice it, the wife did I'll need to check with her what others,

But what it does under resume it still shows the episode but if you try to play it is just stuck on trying to load. also, it still shows in your "My List for a bit " and until you close the app. if you try and open the show, there is no show image and doesn't show any episodes, if you close the app and manually search for the show, it doesn't even show up in the shows list, I connected my phone to Rain "Backup sim" and I'm able to search and play it.

One error she gets is something around netflix detecting that you're using a proxy or VPN , Which I don't.

It is working again now though, I'm not able to replicate this at all, I know it was working fine the whole of yesterday, But I'm not sure about when it started today, she just tried watching an episode about 10 min before I posted my previous message
 
Can you disable IPv6 to see if that has any affect on the shows showing or not?
 
No IPV6 Enabled
Not on local Lan \ DHCP or Router (WAN).

All devices \ wired \ wireless are configured to get the same settings , With the exception of a few static (IP) Assignments .

Let me see if I can replicate the issue.

All our IP's is registered to Afrihost and our AS number. All the content available for for South Africa should be available on our network.
 
I also tried looking for the following using Afrihost.

Parasite
Eden Zero
Demon Slayer

None of these show up when connected to Afri.

But as you can see above, if I connected via Rain, They are all there.

Vpn? Netflix does that when they can't determine your region and puts you in 'netflix original only mode'. Google it, it's a thing sice aug 2021 or earlier this year and part of their vpn shadow ban efforts.

If it is an android device you can try clearing your Netflix app data, cache, defaults and/or reinstalling, but that doesn't always work.

edit: They have included some ip ranges by accident as vpn soft bans. well afaik.
