Openserve FTTN

Oh ok, cool. Thnx Mickey
I hope you are referring to this configuration?

Openserve (Telkom) are deploying MSAN and ISAM units into the suburbs. These are linked by fibre back to the central office (exchange). This shortens the copper length required to service customers on DSL.

Esoterically, probably yes. :) Never knew about it until you brought it up here.
In a nutshell, I've had problems with my dsl, like most us, lately. Did the toys out of cot thing.
My fault log is still open with Telkom but the service is "restored" minus a dial tone on my phone.
I can connect at about 0.7mb but the response is better then my usual 1.5mb connection.
I could just be wishful thinking on my part. ;)
