Openserve Install Frustration

HI Guys,

Not sure how to deal with this i placed an order for a new install on the 19th October 2023 currently my flat has a white fibre box against the wall but no ONT as of yet. Afrihost placed the order but have not been contacted at all about this have asked for this to be escalated twice. What have your guys install times been like that had to get a new ONT for a flat/house that just has the white terminal box against the wall that links up with the ONT via Fibre SC Cable?

Does anyone have contacts i can ask to escalate this myself i have an order number + B Number from Afrihost

Running at wits end and cannot afford the slow LTE speeds this side.

I have sent an escalation to our Openserve Service manager to assist.

Much appreciated thank you Afrigirl will await some feedback but Would love to know what the ETA on install was for other users that recently had an install done i do know that the shutdown peroid is coming down soon in December where they stop all installs if i recall.

Hopefully they reach out soonish.
 
Yeah then i don't know order was submitted my side on the 19th Oct, Afrihost placed this with openserve on the 22nd but no luck nada from Telkom/Openserve with MFN back in Highveld install took like 2 days from order.
 
Sadly not an option at this point in time area become too expensive to cover everything was more economical to move to a more affordable area but getting internet sorted has been a nightmare sad thing is this has been escalated twice already
 
Mine was in less than a day. I placed the order online on a Sunday evening on Afrihost website and the next day at 10am Openserve stopped outside my house to install the fibre. I was actually shocked that it was so quick.

My install took 2 hours iirc, I ordered at 10am, they showed up an hour later and an hour after that they were done.
 
So Guess what?

Line still not installed nor have been contacted for an date for the install to take place had to get Rain 5G in the intermin so i have some some sort of internet to use at home and sadly the signal is quite kak but works somewhat upload speed is just pathetic getting 5MBps.

Will see if this install ever happens as Openserve clearly do not know how to process an order when there is already an active fibreline on the main property and the same address has 3 flats attached to it with their own white boxes (not ont) just fibre drop boxes.

Has Openserve not contacted you to confirm the address verification on their end?

Sadly no comms from Openserve at all as of yet have been watching my phone like a hawk luckily have a backup connection now as sure this might not be resolved before they stop new installs over the festive season. Would love to have Fibre before then but have to be realstic as this is not a normal straight forward install as its a duplicate line on the same property in their eyes
