I've been trying to get fibre installed to my house for just over a month. No one at Openserve has been able to assist in anyway that counts. My ISP is VOX the general support was useless and refused to escalate the problem any more than what they could do. So one negative review later and I'm assigned a project specialist who has been helping me and been in direct contact with Openserve. Alas even she has run into problems with Openserve personal not responding or just not doing their jobs. She responds quickly and even escalated the problem to her manager. From my POV they are pretty much in the same boat as me when it comes to getting anything out of Openserve.

On the Openserve system my address was put in by an idiot. A screen shot from their system showed the GPS co-ordinates to my home as being 500km off the cost of SA. Someone phoned me from Openserve to amend this address and yet I still haven't heard from them 5 days later. I can't phone them as the Openserve line is manned by no one. The info email take them 3 days to respond on average and then its "We have escalated this issue" and then radio silence. I send them all emails every day asking and it's just becoming tiresome at this point.

I would go for another fibre company as Octotel is in the area, but the location of my house and my shared drive way would mean either digging up the brick paved drive way for 20m+, or running the line over my neighbours house which they don't want. The old ADSL line in the house terminates right at the base of the Openserve access point meaning no trenching or pissing off the neighbours.

I have never been so frustrated by a "Service" providing company in my life. The lack of actual support and communication is shocking. If anyone has had a similar problem and has been able to resolve it via a specific contact number or email address please send me a message or leave the details below please. December is fast approaching and we are staying home this year so having internet is a must.

Hi.
The Openserve Techs do not amend those addresses; they normally cancel the order and say "incorrect address, could not install". Your ISP may need to place the order again at the correct address.

HA, you have clearly not dealt with Supersonic before

I have twice. They now say I have an order with Afrihost that has to be cancelled which I did last month I have confirmation from Afrihost that it was cancelled. Openserve just doesn't work.

I spoke to a installation team from Openserve working on another house this morning in my neighbourhood, I asked if he could come and have a look to see how much effort it would take to install fibre and he said less than an afternoon as all the old conduiting is still in place and just needs fibre fed into it.

I promise you, you will regret having VOX as your ISP.

Please share that order number, let me check.
