Wanted to switch FNO to openserve. What is the time frame normally when it says rollout phase.

Considering to go ahead with the order, what clender date notice to give to my current N99/Evotel.

Rollout does not have a fixed time frame. Can take 6 days, 6 weeks or 6 months. No way to know unfortunately.

DM me your address and I will see if I can find anything on the Openserve side.

I didn't see any OS doing any work in our area. It can maybe indicate they might take 6 to 12 months.

Also can two FNO trench side by side one area.

It's going to depend on how many people allow them to put up poles in their properties.

They do have poles with old copper running behind the street, where my old dsl line was connected.

They just arrived at my place one day and asked for Access. They put up the fibre cable and pole box. 2 weeks after that my installation was done

Ours took 3 months, the last day they worked until like 8pm and a week later they were live.

So OS tech ran fiber cable on the pole 2 days ago without any update on their website.

The area still showing pre-order.

Hi.

So when Openserve rolls out fibre, their networking or hardware pattern (Huawei) still needs to audit the site and then give Openserve a site certification. Only then will the fibre be live for orders

Ok they busy installing huawei distribution boxes on the poles. Also digging for main feeder cable.

Considering that when to give cancellation notice to existing ISP/FNO?

Update: OS finished with cabling and activation are rolling in. They came with exact same router/ONT what evotel uses and currently in use.

The ont is connected to their OS line without any traffic. So the question is after 30 days what will happen to OS embedded router?

Hi.

It will depend on the package you choose with your ISP.
If you have Openserve Web Connect coverage and you you choose that, they do not have to switch the ONT.

Oh really! Openserve tech just installed exact same Huawei wifi ONT that I already using by my fiber provider.

Not interested in OS fiber anymore now.

What ONT were you expecting?
Some parts of DUR have a Nokia ONT, so it depends on the area.

The thing is you cannot connect your own/ISP wifi router with their "wifi-ONT" that they provided.

Similar Huawei "wifi-ONT" I'm currently using provided by evotel fiber.

This how I understood, OS replace that to CPE when 1 month trial finish allow you to switch new ISP.

LAN ports should be open for connecting your wired devices. With OS WebConnect the wifi is enabled on the ONT, normal ISP connection needs a router.
