So I have a weird situation that Afrihost WhatsApp support has no clue on. I am on a Afrihost/Openserve connection in Franschhoek. And I know my fibre at home is Openserve since when my cable was cut during a storm Openserve came out to actually fix it.
But here is the issue - Every time Frogfoot has an outage in Franschhoek I also lose my network. This has happened every single time over the last year and a half. When I check Afrihost and Frogfoot network status - it shows down. But openserve claims its network is up and running. Yet I have no internet.
Anyone has any clue as to what is this dependency on Frogfoot for Afrihost/Openserve? I was under the impression that these two should be completely different infrastructure and not depend on each other.
As I write this Frogfoot has been down for 1/2 a day and so I am also down even though Openserve tests my line and states there is no issue.
