Just to prepare me...So I signed up for an Openserve 20/10 package via Afrihost. Fibre coverage in our area, a complex in Centurion, was announced live some 2 months back; I have an optical point on my lounge wall. A free router was delivered within 24 hours of subscribing...I thot it was a matter of ‘plug n play’ but was disappointed; when I called Afrihost - an Openserve technician is to come within 7 days and install/activate. We are now on day 6 and no one has contacted me; I have taken leave (Day 5,6 &7)from work so there can be some1 to receive the tech in the house. Do these guys stick to their word or it’s just a marketing bait? How long have some of u guys had to wait for installation and live?

At this stage I don't think Openserve is worth it on ANY ISP. I have a 20/10 Openserve/Cool Ideas connection and at night time the line is terrible.
I have tried a Web Africa account on my line too with the exact same results.
If you have a 10Mbps ADSL line I would suggest continuing to rather use that if you are a gamer or you regularly stream HD video. I regret swapping my ADSL line for a (apparently double the speed) fibre connection which works great during the day but becomes very slow at night.
