Good Day
Thank you for your interest in upgrading your package!
Kindly note that the new pricing only takes effect for existing clients as of 1 December.
Should we proceed with the upgrade now, the old pricing will still apply.
Please confirm whether you wish to proceed?
So what was 2nd November then? Only for new sign ups? The article did not clarify that!

If you don't get feedback here maybe post the question in the Cool Ideas feedback thread. It would be good to know.

Yeah I also really want to know the answer to this as I wanted to call for an upgrade today but I don't want to go through the trouble if this is the response I'm going to get.

"Thank you for your request, please be advised due to the price change existing customers will only be upgraded from the 1st of December as billing has already run,

Please kindly confirm if we may schedule your upgrade to be effected on the 1st of December ? "
@PBCool , why is this so? can you shed some light...Seems like you guys are avoiding this question?

Look like the speed bump to speed has been lifted. Black Friday has arrived early!!!
Does that mean we can upgrade our Openserve lines now and still pay the new pricing at the end of the month?

This was posted last week:

Correct, the pricing changes take place on the 2nd of Nov, and any upgrades or orders will be pro-rata'd at the new rate for the remainder of November.

So upgrading now should in theory be possible, that said... I'm no longer getting feedback on my ticket, so I could be wrong.

Yeah I remember they said it would be the new pricing here last week, but after seeing so many people saying otherwise I'm not sure if I want to try upgrade yet.

So -- there was some confusion in our Connect Team that has been cleared up.

Anyone can upgrade to the higher packages, and you will only pay the pro-rata difference based on the effective 2nd November pricing, which is now in effect. In most cases this prorata will be next to nothing.

They have been instructed to get back to people that this has been incorrectly communicated to.

If you don't touch your package at all, then the new pricing will show on your 1st of December invoice, as everyone pays for services in advance.

If you downgrade, the new price will reflect on your 1st of December invoice as well, but obviously you would miss out on still having higher speeds for the rest of the month.

And before anyone asks why we didn't make the prices effective 31 Oct/1 Nov, the answer is "commercial reasons".

TL;DR -- upgrade now !

Thanks for clearing that up :)

I don't suppose you could tell me how long it takes (more or less) to flip the switch? :p

Regrading a line through the Openserve portal normally takes a few hours at most, but when there's weird stuff or issues with their portal we sometimes have to escalate, which can result in a day or two delay.

Also keep in mind that the upgrade invoice/prorata amount has to be paid first before the upgrade is approved.

That makes sense, thank you. I shall wait patiently :)
