Do you mean moving the wifi router to another room?

You have 2 boxes right? The white Huawei ONT (yellow fibre cable going into it) and then the whatever brand router? Connected to each other with a network cable?
 
My helpdesk brain just kicked in, I believe what @mywifi is experiencing is a WiFi coverage issue.

There are various options which you can utilize to ensure that the WiFi reaches the place it currntly is not - Mesh systems, better WiFi routers - even (spit) - WiFi extenders

Unless I am misunderstanding.. ?

Haaibo. His ISP probably gave him a plastic floater to use.
I think you need to think seriously about your life choices now that you have mentioned extenders. it's all downhill from here.
