Hi Guys

Why is OpenWeb's 1mb account R445. Its R50 cheaper then a 4mb line. It would be perfect for me if it was R350. Pity though. it would have been enough to stream decently. The 384 and 512 options is very appealing. 512 looks decent. for a R100 more do you guys think its worth for the extra kb download speed. the standard uncapped account is also not bad either for R219.

Of the 4 accounts that is mentioned, which one is the best band for buck in your opinion. need decent speeds, some streaming and downloading of course.

:confused::confused::confused:

The prices should be 384 - R50-00 + R129-00
512 - R79-00 + R159-00
1024 - R129-00 + R199-00
4096 - R299-00 + R399-00
10240 - R499-00 + R529-00

Direct $ conversion

A bonded 16mb pipe line from Vadacom Business costs R10k to R25k. No Seacom interuptions though.

If you wanna stream definitely get the 1 meg, but your budget is limited so you no option but to take 512.

thats what i want, but the 1mb line is almost exactly the same price as the 4mb line. pricing does not make sense imho.
where is the openweb reps that can explain the logic behind this.
if they could have made it R350 i would sign up.
line rental - R131 + adsl line - R152 + R350 = R630
that seems decent for a 1mb uncapped and aunshaped line - good enough for streaming and downloads

now where is MRBEEPS

Anyone know of an ISP who offers uncapped 1MB line in the region of R400-R500 with adsl line inclusive

It's just a resold IS account. Openweb doesn't control the pricing on this.

Oh and 152 is the line rental for a 384 line. 512 is more expensive and 4meg even more expensive. You'll need a 4meg line to run the 1meg account on as you cant get a 1meg line from telkom.

why must i pay R430 for a 4mb line if i will be only using 1mb. it does not make sense. these tescum f*&^@#rs are raping us through the wall. this is bull****. i only need 1mb speed, why ust i be penalised and paying more. who in their right minds will pay R570 just for line rental and adsl line without even cap on it. that amount is already my whole budget for internet. my max i want to pay is R600 with everything included.

384 won't do. can't do nothing on it. no streaming
