Hi,

The Openweb Speed test was normally quite accurate for me. On my 4 meg ADSL line it normally measured between 3000 and 4000 kbps.

But today it measures my 4 meg line at a whopping 16052 kbps !!??! And a second test at 18963 kbps ?!?!!

I updated my IPCOP firewall and added some mods and so, but can that throw the speed test off that much? Is the test broken? or is Telkom doing some funny advanced ADSL tests.

Has anyone else encountered funny speed readings?

disclaimer: unfortunately browsing seems no faster

My 4mbit line is also slow today, around 1.5 mbit. give it a day or two. You can be sure it's a national/international/ISP problem, take the test tomorrow again.

Its seems slow yes, but the the Openweb test reads it at 10x faster.

It tells me I can download at 15 Megabytes per second.

Completely misread, perhaps Mnr Beep will look into it when he sees this. Sorry for the confusion.
