Hi guys
So, I've spent the past two weeks looking for a new ISP (Uncapped) after getting bad service from Mweb. I tried out various trial accounts, and so far, the best ISPs I found was Openweb (tried Silver), Plugg, and WebAfrica. Which of these ISPs do you guys recommend? I want as little shaping, and no throttling :) Also, I'd like to hear any experiences with Openweb Standard/Vanilla, since they're cheaper :D Haha. I usually do about 250-300GB a month. Thanks

You really need ant Gold. It's the best. Have a buddy on silver though and he hasn't had any complaints.

I'm on vanilla and its fantastic but i'm really not a heavy downloader 50GB max, usually 10 lol, so cant comment on that.

*Edit* Sorry- just realised im on standard, not vanilla

I was on Silver, had it for 2 weeks and it was AMAZING. I'm on Gold now because of the Gold special which worked out CHEAPER than Silver :D

I could of easily hit 200GB+ on Silver, and I would recommend it any day.

Can you notice any major difference between Silver and Gold? Lol, special?

I had a silver trial account. It supposed to last 48hrs but is still working almost 3 weeks later. :D
I've now signed up for the silver account.

I'm considering Openweb's Gold Uncapped 4 and 6Mbps options. Anyone on either of those accounts? How shaped are they? P2P performance?

I'm on 4Meg Gold. Everything is excellent. No complaints.

Gold bra....... however the 2 x Silver deal they have now is pretty sweet too!

So your torrent speeds are above 350KB/s? I'm starting a 6Mbps Gold trial soon so I'll try it before I buy it.

Bryn, i'll be waiting here for your apology after you've tried OWGold...

I have a 4Mbps gold trial but I can't get it to work. Are there router settings I'm missing?

You won't get any apologies from me. It's been two days and my Openweb experience has been so unpleasant that I can't imagine ever switching to them.

Why, what's wrong?

Did you contact MrBeep?

He recommended the same thing their helpline did. Basically, I think their customer service sucks compared to Mweb, who have always phoned or emailed me back within a reasonable period of time, and the trial account performs considerably worse than my Mweb one.

From what I've gathered on MyBB, OpenWeb has much better support than M-Web...
Really strange that you got bad service AND a non-working account... I seriously can't believe it actually.

It sucks that your account doesn't work man, their accounts are so awesome! :(

What are you gonna do now man, back to M-Web?

I never left Mweb (I was using a trial account), so I just have to change the login info in my router and erase Openweb's DNS settings.
