Openweb, Capped accounts from best to worst?

I was so happy to move from Afrihost to Openweb and experienced great products and service until as of late.

Has Openweb always shaped capped data accounts up to a max speed of 10mbps or is this something new? I was so happy to move away from Afrihost to Openweb but lately I've been experience terrible speeds. I’m getting shaped even less than a speed of the claimed 10mbps (& on a 20mbps line) and & according to their service, your capped account is supposed to run at full speed from 12h00 to 06h00; on a 20mbps line.Last night I was shaped to 4mbps from 01h30 to 03h15, my 20mbps line speed only ran from 03h15 to 05h45 (3 hours) with a lot of drops from 4am to 5am.

I've tried raising these shaping issues with Openweb support but all I'm getting is pointless feedback "The Openweb account will only run up to 10 Mbps, this is as advertised"

I am stopping my data account with Openweb if something doesn’t change!

Found your problem.
 
Get yourself a webafrica test 2 gig account and test the performance on that.

If your happy go with webafrica, they won't give you the same *** as openweb does.
 
Left Webafrica after 2 days - they shape users during the day on their capped accounts
 
Either you are going to pay a lot for proper unshaped or your going to be shaped.

Which leads me to asking, why were you with openweb in the first place.
 
I wasn't shaped at Openweb at all. Recently upgraded from 10mbps line to 20mbps line and then noticed Openweb shaping to 10mbps line along with all the other issues. (as if their network doesn't support anything > 10mbps)
