Hello

Maybe some of you could help in the cryptic comparisons in OpenWeb packages

I currently have the Package "Gamers Delight"

But i look at packages like Silver or Gold Uncapped.

or literally any other package.

What is the differences, could one explain why one is better than the other without hesitation.

Basically the higher up you go, the less daytime shaping you get.

The highest being ^.^?

And where is my package on that scale. lol

Good question, I am interested in Openweb packages as well but no clue which does what. I would be interested in an account purely for gaming that could handle 50gig/month downloading.

Well Kylie

Specials are always a good idea, I got around 140GB downloaded on my 1meg line on my account "Gamers Delight"
Full speed literally all the time.

But thats from my person experiance.

Email them for a test account. I trialed their Vanilla account and even it wasn't half bad, for gaming included and it could easily do 50GB/month. Their Silver would probably be more then you need... Plus you could share the cost with someone if you could find...buy one get one free special - http://openweb.co.za/special2.html. I would think their Standard Uncapped would also do fine, also on special...although running out!

@MrBeep commented here and said that their comparison chart is almost ready - that should help and go a long way to explain the differences between their various accounts.

If you only getting 140GB then it's not full speed all the time.

I get 170GB on my MWEB account and thats not full speed all the time.

When I had a Telkom account i got over 190GB no problem and that was with heavy shaping during the day.

Well on a 1meg line im getting 90-105kbs

im sure that decent - its the best i have thus far and i been with afrihost and webafrica
