Openweb - Pathetic service

This is something I've been meaning to do for a while, vent my frustration over this useless company.

- Their phone has been engaged the last 5 or so attempts I've made at phoning them (which has been spread over a few days I might add) and they respond to emails slowly, sometimes not at all (as was the case with a recent email).

- They cannot handle the most simple of debit orders. After first signing the debit order, the following 2 months I'd be welcomed with an account that wouldn't log in at the start of the month. I would phone and they would say "sorry, the debit order didn't go through, kindly put the money into our account for this month and then next month the debit order will handle the payment". That was perfectly acceptable. Next month - account doesn't login. A friend of mine also had this exact problem.

- Their client interface is rubbish, account's cannot be managed at all let alone as easily and efficiently as through Webafrica's. Their service is on the other hand is probably some of the best I have ever experienced and their client interface is superb - borderline instant account activation and an easy to use stats monitoring and topup system.

Luckily this is a residential and not a business account, I feel sorry for the business clients who have to deal with this ****. If it wasn't for their Openbrowse product (which has to be restarted several times daily to get it to work) I would save the hassle and the time and go with the said brilliant Webafrica. With Webafrica you get 24/7 support and they have a telephone that gets picked up.

Regarding their reply to emails, I am sorry but I have to differ with you Keoma always replies to my emails within an hour or so.

Gaan vat 'n chill pilletjie en relax. Maybe go put on a new pair of panties as well because it sounds like you peed in yours.

Same Here, my emails always get answered quickly. Just today I emailed and MrBeep Replied within half an hour. I've been with Openweb for well over two years and havent had any problems with them.
 
@Ignition = Personally, I haven't used Openweb but your experience seems isolated. What channels are the other guys using (successfully) that's not working for you? also, don't they have a rep here you could perhaps PM? Just a suggestion - from one mature understanding adult to another :D
 
Well judging from Hellopeter I'm not the only one. I don't want to PM any rep, I just want to warn others to avoid the same hassles.
 
funny, i find webafrica's support bad and openweb's fantastic - can't say i've ever had a problem with them!

i do suspect you're just out to give them a bad rap - not everybody's a fan!

I highly recommend Openweb to anybody!

Also, the fact that you don't want to work with the reps on this site goes to show that you're not willing to sort out your problem, and just bad mouth a fantastic service provider!

So you expect the OP to put up with bad service? Stop being a company fanboy. Really you'd swear you own shares in the company or something.

Why was my second post deleted? That's just lame, honestly. What did I do that was out of line? Is 'bitch' considered a swear word? Can I get an answer at least from the admin who deleted it?

Indeed I am, warranted though. I experienced bad service, I'm going to voice it. Hell, since when is it bad to reveal poor service? I'm not saying you didn't experience good service.

well... from my fewpoint you're not willing to pm Mr. Beep to resolve this issue you claim you have. Get intouch with him - i'm sure he'll help you.

Secondly, if you're planning to use this forum to badmouth openweb and call people names to support your cause, whichever that may be, I'd rather see this thread closed!

He is free to voice his opinion and voicing your opinion about ISPs are partly what this forum is for :p

No-one's gonna stop you from posting a thread about how great Openweb is. It's his opinion and he's entitled to at least that much :)

Thank you, someone with sense. Can say what I like, this isn't fascism. I don't want to rectify the problem, why must I make them aware of obvious problems?

i bought 100gigs from them so far for the last 4 mnths

no problems cant understand why you having problems ?

remember its a money making bisniss hellopeter chargers companies to reply
last time i heard it was going at 6000 a month.
So for a small company to reply would be difficult

as much as i agree you have the right to complain, you should also make every attempt to try rectify the problem, otherwise your badmouthing of a fantastic company is really not justified!.
