I'm currently using mweb's uncapped 384k and the speed is just unbearably slow in the evenings. I'm shopping around for a new option and looking for some opinions.
Over the past 5 months my monthly usage has been between 12GB and 23GB, so I'm not looking to download the Internet.
Webafrica's Titan deals look good, but I'm keen to keep the line portion of my ADSL with Telkom.
I've narrowed it down to one of the following:
OpenWeb uncapped lite
Axxess uncapped
Afrihost's ADSL powerplan 20GB+20GB
If I'm understanding correctly, both OpenWeb and Axxess are reselling the new IS "shaped if you're in the top 20%" service, is that right? Is this really unshaped for thos of us who aren't downloading the whole Internet every day?
Alternately, the Afrihost deal should be better being a more old school capped offering, just with a higher cap than we had before all the uncapped shena****ns.
I dunno.... the ADSL market has gotten ridiculously complicated.
