I'm thinking of getting an OpenWeb account. Are they stable and reliable? Anyone with first-hand experience?

I also have accounts with them and have no problems at all.

OpenWeb are quite a decent provider and have a good presence on this forum.

Although I haven't used them, I think they would made a good choice.

Thanks for the feedback guys! :)

Would it be a wise choice to get a 30GB local only account with them and then utilize the OpenBrowse service to browse internationally? I don't really mind not being able to download from International websites.

just stay clear of the vpn service. i have it now and it's shocking.

great company, their local accounts are well worth money spent.

Only problem is when your account breaks afterhours, then they useless till the next morning...from what i heard on the forum...never used them before...

I have the local 30GB account with openbrowse .... and I only get issues with openbrowse late at night ... otherwise its all good :D

I rate OpenWeb IS local as the best package out there, simply because the account allows a small amount of international throughput through, just enough for games like BattleField to authenticate on the internationally based authentication servers.
i.e. I can play BF2 on OpenWeb's Local-Only account only.

The product called OpenBrowse was not good enough for me, I need to be able to view YouTube movies, which it does support, but you only get like 18 seconds of the movie, like a teaser.

So, are you talking about the 10GB and 30GB packages local-only?
Openweb Local-only

The reason asking is that 2 of us want to split one of these accounts for online gaming MAINly, not really downloading.

How is the Latencies on local FPS games especially (CSS), and also HOW MANY concurrent connections does it have.

Tried to contact Openweb, number not going through atm.

Im on the IS semi-shaped fibre account. Very happy with it for gaming.

The only crit I would give is that their client page and user account system could be a tad more user friendly...it isn't bad but I have seen better.

For instance, you need to log in seperately on SAIX or IS to view your usage. You need to log in twice using your OW credentials(unless I am typing something wrong lol or my browser is screwed ). The initial account and password setup for Internet access felt weird for me...the passwords are randomly generated and not that I have looked but is there a place to specify your own account password?

Just little things but overall OpenWeb IMO are the best for me at the moment.
