OpenWeb's new SAIX prices

Openweb is shaking up the market again with very competitive prices for SAIX accounts. Anyone signed up for it as yet?

Hmmmm, very nice. I currently pay R199 for 3gig and usually top up 1 more gig at R70, so R239 for 5gig is looking very attractive.

SolConnect already reduced their prices on 16 August - wonder who was first.

Are you tired of waiting for Telkom to lower the price of ADSL data traffic (bandwidth)?

So are we! Which is why we have decided to go it alone and do our bit to reduce the cost of broadband Internet access in South Africa by reducing our profit margins.

We have therefore reduced the price of all our ADSL data packages with immediate effect. Existing clients will be billed the new reduced rates in the next billing cycle.

The new reduced prices for DSLGo (standard shaped data traffic on the SAIX backbone) are:
1 GB 2 GB 3 GB 5 GB 10 GB
R65 R125 R175 R250 R450

The new reduced prices for DSLGo PLUS (unshaped data traffic on the SAIX backbone) are:
1 GB 4 GB 10 GB
R105 R395 R850

The new reduced prices for ZADSLGo (local-only unshaped data traffic on the SAIX backbone) are:
1 GB 3 GB 5 GB 10 GB
R19 R50 R80 R150

I ordered the 5Gb account. Activation happened within 5 minutes.

You will see the big guns reduce it next month, after the next debit batch I am sure. Why reduce now and loose all that cash, rather wait another week, whisper promises of a reduction, that you are still finalizing the prices and updating the system. As the new month starts and every one has paid the old higher prices then you can lower them.

Thats what I would do anyways.
