Opera 9.61 and Wand Question

Hi

I have a question when I use Opera 9. On some sites, and I think it's the sites Opera imported from Firefox are not giving me the option of having the Wand save my login info.

Has anybody else had this and have you managed to "reset" the Wand so it will save the login info. I have tried to delete the wand.dat file but it didn't seem to have made a difference except that my exisiting save entries was gone.

Goto wand TAB -> passwords in prefernces and delete the passwords manually your having problems with, or delete all.
 
I tried that but the sites that I was looking for was not in the list.

One of the sites giving me trouble is https://www.webafrica.co.za/client/

I'm starting to wonder if it could something to do with the forms on the sites....

Edit: If I look at the source of some the sites it looks pretty normal

i just installed Opera 9.61 as i wanted to change the look of my pc/internet, what should i know about this system as it looks cool with the speed dial buttons.
 
The best thing is the sync of speed dails, bookmarks etc between pc's.

I have a laptop and a home machine and keeping my bookmarks in sync is great!

wait, wait talk slower what do you mean by syncing your desktop and laptop?

i love the widgets thing i am hooked on widgets now.

I would assume that if webafrica's details on not listed on your wand list, then if you manully added the password etc on webafrica, it would ask you if you want to save it? Does this not happen.

Not sure what else to suggest.

You could <delete private data> and choose <clear all wand passwords> You might need to re-boot or re-start opera though, not sure.

ha ha i will. i like the idea of the sync thingy as i use opera mini on my phone.

what i don't understand is, does this setup replace my internet explorer or is it just another programme as my internet with google is also running.
 
I sync'd my desktop with my mobile once. Nice, but considering i have hundreds of bookmarks in PC - not to practical in my pissy mobile.

yep - it totally replaces IE.
 
Yep, IE will never leave his mummy. He lives at home forever. Just ignore him. He wont do anything.
 
ha ha. i just synced my phone but my speed dials from my pc did not show on my phone but i will mess about with this stuff tomorrow maybe or at work next week. this opera thing is cool.

i tested the sync again and it looks like it worked, now just to find more speed dial things.

lol - I wish. The only sure way to get rid of IE involves a virgin, a exorcism and a LOT of luck!

Tried it, it still does not ask me to save my password. Even cleaned out all my wand passwords.
