Opera to launch South African data centre

Opera will open a data centre in South Africa this year, the company told MyBroadband.

"Opera is planning to launch a data centre in South Africa," Opera confirmed.

I don't know how anybody trusts Opera. The Opera of today is not the Opera of 10 years ago. Maybe I'm paranoid but I definitely wouldn't open my online banking on it.

It's built on Chromium, exactly like Chrome and the new MS Edge.

The upside with Opera is that it has an integrated VPN, which is free.

It's all about data, literally.
That's how these companies generate their income.

What are you even saying,I've been using OPERA on windows for over a decade now and have never paid a cent.

I don't use it either honestly speaking.
That said. It's hard to find any product, whether software or not that is not owned by any Chinese overlords.

I use Chrome.

I use Firefox for an alternative if anything is awry. Chrome is the most stable IMHO.

Edit: I use https://blisk.io/ for site testing as well.
