I'd really like some help from an Opera fundi who has used Firefox.
I am totally enjoying FF but want to try Opera since I like some bits but i keep coming back to the same old issues.

1) RSS feeds in live bookmarks ala Firefox. Opera just doesn't do RSS the way I like it. The live bookmark is so easy to use in FF and just makes sense - no need to open a new tab, just view feeds from any page you happen to be on... I can be banking and see new posts on MyADSL without leaving the page - very convenient.
Opera has the whole RSS reader thingy built in - very tedious and kind of like a seperate news reader app. If I want to know more about a topic, I go to the page, I couldn't be bothered reading whole articles in any format other than the original.
2) Search - why hasn't anyone emulated FF search in the taskbar - so much more convenient and it doesn't hover over the results on the page - and of course as you type, the first result is highlighted and the bar turns red and you hear the audio telling you there is nothing on the page when you enter something that's not there - no need to enter it all and click search before it lets you know it's not there... incredibly intuitive and simple. I hate floating windows that have to be shifted all over.
3) Passwords. FF makes it very simple to remember passwords. The opera wand allows you to do it, but I can't find a simple way to switch between two accounts on the same page. I have two logmein accounts for two different sets of computers that I use regularly and the stupid wand always fills in the first credentials I logged in with - dunno how to use the others.

Maybe someone has suggestions - esp 1 and 3, I can live with 2 if it's the only way, but 1 and 3 are crucial to my experience...
Thanks in advance.

For number 3 just push Ctrl and Enter when you on the page it will open the wand and allow you to chose which user name to use.

I use FF for those very reasons. My only quirk being that it uses so much RAM. I would love to use Opera/Safari however I stick with FF because it's that much more convenient to use.

Opening new tab in Opera: Ctrl + N
Opening new tab in Firefox: Ctrl + T

Took some getting used to! :o

Actually FF is easier, just hold in left ctrl when you click a link. FF is shift but it doesn't work with the back button so far I've noticed.

Mine just enters one of the passwords (the first one)... :( no choices...
Also, the new tab (hold in shift and click) sends you straight to the new unloaded page - I want to open a tab while staying on the tab I have open. Are there good extensions for Opera as with FF too? FF is a killer app with the extensions!

Ok, I went back to the site and entered my second user and pass manually and it asked me if I wanted to save it. I said OK. Then I logged out and tried the wand and lo and behold, this time it asked which one to use - there were three listed. I deleted one of the duplicates and it appears to be working fine. I dare say that I prefer the Opera Wand in this sense but there is a page which it doesnt work on at all for some reason... FF worked on that page... so still reserved at this stage.
