OperaGX (browser for gamers)

I have been giving it a test drive since early release. The only thing I like about... hmmm, I would say that it have the better dark mode (or could I say gaming mode). It behaves like Opera, nothing special about it.

It does have some neat 'gaming' tools built in, I am not talking about the GX Control, more about Twitch and so on. I haven't played a 'browser' game in yonks, so meh.

About the only reason I'm looking at it and "if it has a lighter footprint". Would be great if they add slack to it...

It is easy to see that they are trying to centralise the gaming compartment into a single browser with emphasis on communication. Twitch, Discord, Twitter, etc, but I doubt Slack would be on their roadmap unless they allow third-party integrations. I don’t think that they should have called it a gaming browser, but aesthetically it is marketed as such.

And that is quite nice, wonder if they will have buy-in for play from your browser like what ms is trying to do on ios.

It has Twitch and Discord integration? I didn't know this... now I've got to give it a try again
Can it use chrome extensions via the webstore?
