operation RROD

I've tried being friendly and nice ... and my box has not arrived as yet (subitted 28 May 2009). Sent this off this morning :

Hi,

Still no courier arrived, despite having been told it was dispatched on the 03 September 2009.

If you remember, I have been waiting patiently for the unit since 28 May 2009 (106 days) without causing any ripples, fighting or escalating. However – I’m now the longest waiting person that I know of. I’ve known of guys that have submitted the end of August and received little over a week later – which shows Powercare aren’t focusing on the backlog as they should. I’ve known of guys that have submitted the same date as I did – and received after 2 months after weeks of complaining, escalating and getting Microsoft involved.

I’d like you to please escalate my situation to management at Powercare and someone give me a concrete answer on when I shall receive this ‘box. Alternatively, I’ll be taking the same route as others and getting Microsoft involved to assist in sorting the issue out.

I'm assuming you aren't in JHB, cos if you were, you could just go to Edenvale and get a replacement.

Well, that's what I did this afternoon. Replaced my Elite over the counter, waited all of 15 mins.

Sorry about your situation though, sucks piles. Seriously considering pawning this one on Gumtree and getting the PS3 slim. This is my 3rd Xbox in 2 years.
 
Juice u ever reckon they telling the truth??? lolz ... if u go ninja on them u'll get results and stock magically appear, i mean i got a brand new (non refurbed) machine, they can IF they want to sort us out with retails but that's their LAST resort... All you do if go NINJA man and u get your jasper (like me lol)
 
I'm in JHB ... I have the type of job that I can't up and leave. Still no excuse for keeping waiting almost 3 1/2 months ...
 
Sent this at 9:00am this morning ... new console delivered 15.15 .... now, to plug in and see how noisey it is.

PS Will be selling this.
 
This is so weird, my gf actually went with an RROD xbox to the repair company directly in Cresta (cant remember, was about a month ago), they exchanged it over the counter for a brand new Jasper? Shes pretty hot though. Must have been that.
