Perhaps white South Africans still have some use 22 years into our democracy: as a bogeyman, a whipping boy for populist politicians to drum up support for the upcoming local election.

Vote for me, I’ll give the whiteys hell! No, vote for me, I dislike them even more, and I’ll take all their stuff and give it to you!

Okay, that’s a bit flippant. Calm down, whites still have other uses too. Like a black comedian said the other day: they still have to teach black people how to bitch and moan with effect at the Woolworths checkout tills. And who else would buy the large number of two-tone short-sleeved shirts and braai tongs with built-in torchlights manufactured in South Africa?

Seriously now. The blatant abuse of race as primary mobilisation tool to canvass votes is reckless and contrary to the spirit of our constitution.

It would, though, be strange if race didn’t feature in South Africa’s political discourse in 2016. The serious inequality in our society still largely follows racial lines and the memories and impact of white domination will linger on for a long while still. White racism still rears its ugly head all over the country on a daily basis.

But what we’re experiencing in the election campaigns of the EFF and the ANC at the moment amounts to naked Wit Gevaar games.

I kinda agree with this. Ordinary South Africans of all races should stand up and take the power of the racist agenda away from politicians. We must vote carefully and be kind to one another.
 
Someone explain to me how I ought to behave so that racially prejudiced people will realise the "truth"? :confused:

Let me summarise: ANC screws up economy. Only enriches their own ranks (upper echelons). Everybody pissed off. EFF forces ANC to find an easy target to keep themselves in the gravy.

Its not a new political tactic. Rationality has very little to do with it. That's reality. Its up to the majority whether they like this or want more progressive, more productive dialogue.

All I expect of people (in an ideal word) is that they go on what the last 20 years have shown. Personally I'm hoping for real change - The kind where capable people interested in making the country better for everybody rise to power in SA. Something that has not been tried ever in SA from the time of Jan van Riebeeck and even before that. Never ever have we had civilian public servants running the show.
 
This equality thing again. Inequality in South Africa along racial lines. What some people fail to see is the BIGGER picture. Whites live better than blacks not only in South Africa and not only nowadays! 1000 years ago whites were (much) better off, 100 years ago they were better off and so are they today and would be in a 100 years from now and dare I say, in a 1000 years. I am still looking for the real reason as to why things are this way. But this is how they are. And now lets move on please.
 
what did you expect from a country where people(including the Worlds and Liberal Retards' "Icon" and "Messiah" Nelson Mandela) sing "Kill the whites, kill the boer, kill the farmer"...that **** will never end. The cANCer got success with it, so why will/should it stop now.

The majority have spoken for the last 20yrs. They buy into the propaganda that if you don't vote anc apartheid is coming back. There's also the culture of the chief is in charge & I hope he's happy I voted for him, the chief deserves his position instead of them being classified as public 'servants'. Look at the history of africa where the 'liberators' come to power, they rule (not serve) for life.

All I got from that is that they have had thousands of years to up their game and are still too lazy to do so :whistle: Damn whites and their ambition, work ethic, prowess, skill, education... I could keep going.
