Oppo N1

Hi

Sorry, I'm not trying to be rude but you have the following phones available from well known manufacturers:

Samsung Galaxy Note 3
Sony Xperia Z1
Samsung Galaxy S4
HTC One
LG G2
Xperia Z
and Samsung Galaxy S4 Active

All the above have equal and some others even more powerful hardware than the Oppo.

Why do you believe the Oppo is the best Android around? Also, if anything goes wrong, are you not worried about a lack of customer support?

Sorry, I know it doesn't answer your question, I'm just curious as to why you'd import a Chinese handset when you have the likes of Samsung, Sony, LG and Htc right here.

Oppo build quality is on Apple levels. They actively support and actually offer you CM. And for me I just like the looks of this phone, also admired the Oppa Find 5.

Sorry, I don't know how you should go about importing this.

I'd try to get the LG G2, or wait for the Nexus 5. If it's the size you're after, the Note 3 will probably the easiest to get.

Whoah. If the build quality is really that good then it looks like an amazing phone!

Where in SA can I buy this phone?

I doubt it's available in SA though, so what would be the best way to import this?

IMO this is the best Android phone out there.

This is a cool phone and I would be really interested were it not for Snapdragon 600. The Nexus 5 would be a better bet IMO, or wait for the Find 6.

The Oppo phones are indeed great and excellent value for money. I hope the carriers look at bringing them in. There is rumours that the new phone they are launching have a 50mp camera built in. Dunno how true that is, but if it is the case, it will kick the lumia in the teeth xD

I have just got my hands on a Oppo Find 7.

Samsung can only dream of such awesome build quality & this is from a 4 time Samsung owner.
Just trying to get rid of all the Chinese apps

No thats actually a 13MP cam, it takes 4 shots and combines it into a 50MP pic.

Personally I wouldnt import one, I live in China and although Chinese phones are getting better and better, in terms of quality, it still a tad behind the big guys. And it doesnt come with google apps, have to root and add them, a mission and a half since there's not much documents online for that.

If you like messing with phones though, then they're a good buy.

Don't agree, Oppo is one of the few Chinese brands with an international presence - though not South Africa.
If you buy a phone that was intended for the Chinese market, yes, you going to battle. But they do sell them in Europe and America, and if you can get one of those, they should work just fine without any "messing". And if they are anywhere near the quality of their other products, they might just be the best there is. I would wait for the next release of the N1 though.
