Oppo Reno7 5G vs Galaxy A73

Hiya,

Telkom et al is pushing the Oppo Reno7 5G very hard - but quite pricey. The Samsung Galaxy A73 appears to be a better deal at a lower cost. Anyone have input on Reno7 or Galaxy A73 - which deal to go for?
 
A73 for sure. Seeing that it's even cheaper, and the camera would be way superior as it's a Samsung.

I had the A72. Brilliant device until my niece took it for a swim.
 
Telkom has the A73 for R499, the Oppo Reno 7 for R749, so it really is a no brainer. I honestly cannot understand how the price of the Reno 7 is justified. It's not like it's Samsung or even Huawei. This is on contract, and to buy the phone cash is absolutely ghastly. To fork out R15 500 for a 90HZ display, Mediatek chip, 64MP camera is ridiculous.

I know we are comparing Samsung A73 to Oppo here, but if you compare the specs to the Poco X4 Pro which Takelot is selling for R6819, I mean, come on Oppo, is someone smoking something really heavy?
 
If you can wait a few months, Xiaomi redmi note 11T pro is gonna be a beast on a budget, you don't get AOMLED display, it got a Display mate rated A+ LCD display which should be decent, instead you get the Dimensity 8100 chipsets with UFS3.1 ram which is a pretty high class chipset. The phone sells for around USD 280 in China, it is probably gonna be around the R6k area when it gets here, and it will be pretty difficult for anything else to beat those specs at that price point when it gets here!
