Yes it does, refer to pic.Does temperature affect discharge, even if battery is not in use ?
High temp is bad for most things in life. I guess it will shorten it's life in a high temp environment. Why do tesla batteries last longer than nissan leaf batteries? Tesla has active cooling, leaf doesn't.I wanted wingnut to answer, but since you answered, what can/will 60°C do to a battery ?

Well then you wanted to know why batteries get delivered to you with around 50% SOC .Yes it does, refer to pic.

It was all rhetoricalScience 101
All batteries deteriorate due to chemical reactions, heat simply increase rate of any reaction

When they come via sea freight... those containers temps rise to as high as 60°C , and sometimes higher.
If the supplier and local distributor don't worry about these things (like loading into reefers) then expect a sub-standard product.

Shipping is my game , you don't know what tricks importers use to get their product in.I do think Lithium follow a strict rule when shipped. I know for one you cant simply ship lithium related goods without declaring it.
Pretty sure those goods get packed at deck level to watch temp and not on top of the stack. Esp seeing that a lithium fire + water = boom
Is @wingnut771 the local battery guru or something?I wanted wingnut to answer, but since you answered, what can/will 60°C do to a battery ?
why don't you ask himIs @wingnut771 the local battery guru or something?
