Options regarding purchase

Hi guys. I am in need of some advice.

I bought a bed from House and Home (Serta King Extra Length) on the 15th August.
I understand that this is a special order and it has to be made. I was told it would take 17 days to get to the store (Durban -> CT) and then would be delivered to me. This time passed and it was promised from Serta to House and Home it would be delivered on the 20th of Sep. This has passed and now apparently will only leave Durban on Friday the 27th so meaning I will only get it sometime next month.

My pregnant fiancée is furious now as this bed was meant for her to help with the pregnancy as our current bed is cr*p. She wants to cancel this and get another brand from House and Home as we are disgusted in Serta nvm there lack of responses and bad Hello Peter reviews about customer service.

Extra info: The bed is financed through House and Home (shoprite group) and already paid a deposit + the first instalment comes off begin next month.

What can we do? Can we go to House and Home and cancel the purchase and ask to switch for another?
 
You can only cancel if something in the contract gives you that option because it is a special order. Also is the promised delivery date in the contract?
 
OT: I know what its like living with a pregnant woman, they do throw their toys when things don't go the way they wanted. Sorry man.
