OR Tambo parking

So I had to book some tickets to Durban for Saturday and return on Sunday. So i missed the pre book parking as it shows none available.

What other areas of parking is available for 2 days? I saw shaded parkings but there was a ton of basement parkings no sure which allows what and the ACSA website is confusing.

As per the ACSA Parking diagram for OR Tambo, there are three long-term areas located near the International Terminal, designated as follows:

P4 - Long Stay Parking - Carports
GPS coordinates:
S 26.131634
E 28.230589

Rate: 0 - 24 hours : R 90.00 - thereafter R 45 per 12 hours or part thereof

P5 - Long Stay Parking - Shade
GPS coordinates:
S 26.128879
E 28.231994

Rate: 0 - 24 hours : R 90.00 - thereafter R 45 per 12 hours or part thereof

P6 - Long Stay Parking - Shade
GPS coordinates:
S 26.130341
E 28.231525

Rate: 0 - 24 hours : R 80.00 - thereafter R 40 per 12 hours or part thereof

This info is outdated now. Long term shade and carport parking 5-6 has been closed by Acsa. Best option now is to book online 5 days in advance Airports long term parking and get 50% off normal rates. Put credit card into machine when arriving and leaving.

To book parking online at OR Tambo, you do it directly from here: booking.airports.co.za
This gets you to park at Parkade 2 North - Basement. As the name suggests, its fully covered and underground.

However if you are a bit late, and the parking is full, you can pitch on the day and visit Carports. On the same road towards Parkade 2, but probably 20m before it. The fee is a flat R90 a day.

Ohh no why? So if I miss online booking because it does get full if you don't book in advance then where do you park? The shaded long term parking was the next best thing.

There are also several valet parking services available at ORT. Their rates are lower than the ACSA parking garages. For example, I have used Mr Parking many times and can definitely recommend them. They also provide a car wash in their service.
