Could never get it why people say they downloaded 9gig to get their half life updated. Now I know why. Useful info for the future. Btw is the bug still there or has it been fixed?

No idea but as an extra piece of random information, scout update was released this week and I wish my internet wasn't capped so I could get it

if anyone can help me get hold of the source code which was released, and the tools including hammer, that would be shweet ^_^ I would like to play around with it, and I hear that hammer is a very nice bsp editor??

Hammer does seem to be quite a nice editor. Unfortunately the latest version is only available via the Source SDK - a nice meaty ~1GB package available through steam.
