Hello,
I'm just trying to see if what I'm going through is normal or if I'm just horribly unlucky.
I ordered an HTC One M8 and received it on the 17th of June. It was faulty though. So I contacted the Orange Store and they got DHL to fetch it from me on the 20th of June so they could ship it back to the UK to check it out and swap it out for a new one.
On Thursday the 24th, they received it. Cool beans.
In the beginning of July (after emailing them once or twice) I received a call notifying me of a new phone soon to be on it's way. Great news. I did some maths and was quite pleased at the thought of getting to use a nice phone a week later.
Later on I received an email stating that they're having stock issues, so I'd have to wait a further 2 to 3 days. Understandable.
A week later and still no word, so I emailed them. Someone eventually responded saying that they're shipping a bunch of stock to the JHB warehouse and my phone will be part of the shipment. I can expect it to be on it's way early this week (and I'm sure everyone is aware that it's well past "early this week").
I mailed on Tuesday asking if everything is on track, received nothing back. I mailed again yesterday asking what's up and still await a response. This afternoon I'll be giving them a call to find out.
Don't get me wrong, they have great prices, and I'd probably buy from them again when the time comes to replace the phone I don't have. I just want to see if anyone else is having a similar experience, specifically people who have bought M8's.
Someone in the official M8 thread mentioned that they ordered their phone on the 7th of July and received it this past Monday, so I'm starting to feel like preference is given to new clients, and not those that have forked out almost 9k with nothing to show for it
