how fast,and good are they

i am looking for a new phone
and they have some nice ones
nexus 6 etc

but wondering how reliable they are and how long does it take
dont want to order it now,and get it months later

I had great service ordering from them (others, however, have not...). But, during my (only) 6 month warranty, my Sony Z1 Compact screen cracked in my pocket. I spend 4 weeks trying to get them to repair it (back and forth emailling was terrible). Finally, I got a call from their local office offering me a replacement or refund for all the troubles I was having with their service.

So, they can be good and they can be slack. I won't use them again mainly because dealing with warranties is a nightmare as its not in SA...

I have recently bought a few Chromecasts from the Orange store and a Moto G phone about a year ago from them as well.

It can take a few weeks for delivery but, I've never had to worry about import duties as it is included in the price.

Warranties will always be an issue though.

I had a good experience. Took about 2 weeks for my device to reach the courier.

how long is a few weeks?
also do they stock things localy?

Well, I got my phone in 2 weeks. 1 week for them to get stock, another 5 days or so to deliver.

No, they don't keep stock in SA. Its all in the UK as far as I know.

Orange remove the need to worry about import duties and vat etc, its all inclusive. They also remove the headache from trying to organize the correct shipping and postal boxes and they don't add _that_ much on. I was looking at the Moto 360 and g watch R. I think it was like R200 more expensive to buy from them than it would have costed with duties and stuff here.

Warranties will more than likely be non-existent, however if you were ordering a device overseas, then you wouldnt have gotten one anyway. So for devices you can get locally, probably would be better to get locally and get your warranty, however if its a nexus or moto device then I'd go for Orange personally.

The warranties issue surprised me as I didn't fully know (and the don't tell you) that its not a local order. In my mind, it was a ZA branch, ordered from a company with ZA presence and delivering to a ZA address with no hassles. I assumed my warranty would be local too. But we learn :)
