Order Telkom Wimax- website info

I know, I am one of them that are supose to have coverage but doesnt

Nice that they have a picture of people being free with their laptops when in reality their WiMax comes with a huge fixed external aerial that allows a single Ethernet connection.

I suppose you're free to drag it around with you..

what a rip off get uncapped neotel neoconnect prime 2.4 megabits per second, or wait for the august launch of the vodacom / iburst wimax uncapped 512kps connection. paying helkom for a piddly 3 gigs of data is madness!

"vodacom / iburst wimax uncapped 512kbps connection" - where did u get that information?

probably red tape info so no confirmation until its launched.
Hopefully its true.

Why does it seem like wimax covers areas that already have ADSL enabled exchanges

Guys which router is best to go wireless with

Wife does not like the cables

Billion,linksys and netgear

Please provide your opinion as to which is best.

Telkom: access = R 240.00 p/m + 2 GIG account = R 149.00 = R389.00 @ 512Kbps
Vodacom: 2 GIG account = R389.00 @ 3.2Mbps

Telkom,Telkom,Telkom..... now what product do you think Im going to go for???

True, but let's say you want local only access? Or one of the other options ISP's offers you, like uncapped, nightrider?

If you are only going to use 2GIG then perhaps you can go with Vodacom. I wouldn't. I have endless problems with 3G. Also, I find ADSL/WiMax to be more stable than 3G altough at times 3G is faster. But not at all times, or at least not in the area's I've tested.

The only pro I see in going for Vodacom is the mobility of the service.

Linksys if you know what you are doing, netgear if you dont.
I only use linksys, but thats cos I can tweak a whole lot more in it.
