Black is the softest paint. I hope this is not doing any real work horse duty.

Ranger is a nice buy.

Fortunately not. The main reason for getting it was to accommodate the dogs. They tend to go on holiday with us and used to drive in the boot of the Tiguan. This will also be an upgrade for them :)

The car started to stink like dead things with the German shepherds in the back, so it was time. Now I've gotten it in Black, with black nudge-bar and towbar and black rims. I'm wondering how to give it a nice accent in some other color. Maybe a subtle line on the grill like a GTI?

Any ideas, throw em!

Wouldn't it have been cheaper to bath the dogs?

I drive them to a off-leash park in centurion almost everyday to socialize and exercise the chops. The problem is we have a pool at home and they swim at their leisure. So often they are still wet/muddy when we have to go for the walk.

If I don't walk them they transform into eldritch horrors that lay waste to our garden :p

Congrats, dude. Which model are you getting?

Trading in the Tiguan?

Tiguan stays put for now.

Picking up the ranger today - settled for dark gray cause the black was taking too long. Will post some pics with the dogs on their maiden voyage when I get home this afternoon.

I've driven behind 2 Rangers now that have had the turbo blow. I'd be very weary hey.

Is it a new feature? Wife will get jealous.
Jokes aside, when I researched checked on the 4x4 community feedback and most of the issues appear to be for the 3.2 model. Gearbox issues, loss of power, etc very common. Got the 2.2

Yup road tyres. I'll be honest, was ready to call the recovery squad before I began :D
Mightily impressed it did so well with a green driver at the helm.
