Just ordered adsl form telkom. They say the exchange needs ports installed. But i must wait till 30 april. Thats INSANE! How can they give such bad service delivery. Any1 know how i could get this faster?

I thought they suppose to offer you wimax access if no ADSL is available?

They say adsl is available up to 512K. But they have to install 2 ports on the exchange.
I mean it probly take an hour to do that, but no let the guy i saw having a nice sleep in his van parked under a tree continue to sleep. Thats fine. Thats service delivery. He can install the ports on the exchange in april, that will be just fine.

Nothing new, I've now been waiting since the 6th of March 2006 for my ADSL. I've been calling Telkom regularly to try and find anything out, but nobody has any information. I got a call last week though saying that all the projects in my area were complete, a port had been assigned and someone would call me with the installation date. Nothing has come of that so far. I went to a Telkom shop on Tuesday and according to the system my line will be installed monday but I'm not holding my breath for that.
