Been wanting ADSL for about 2 years, but was unable to get it cos I couldnt convince parents they needed it. I am a avid gamer and noticed that the New Dsl 192 was going cheap. I convinced parents to upgrade from our slow 56K....
I ordered DSL 192K on May 30.
1st Phone Call: Spoke to Vivian. Ordered the ADSL fine. She told me I needed to fill out forms and Fax them back to her. She faxed me 2 icons of the forms I was supposed to fill out.
2nd Phone Call: ADSL Guy tells me I dont have to fill in any form unless Im taking out a contract.
----------- 1 WEEK --------
8th June
Still no word from telkom.
3rd Phone Call: Speak to a women. She tells me I have to wait another 2 weeks because the port is full at my exchange.
------5min later-----
Phone again. Cos i dont believe her.
4th Phone Call: Women says Order only got Validated on that day and telkom would contact me within a few days with the installation date.
---- 9th June ----
5th Phone Call: Guy says no Installation date has been giving yet because order not validated..... (Getting Angry) Phone Back on monday.
---- 13 June ----
Long week-end.
6th Phone Call: Speak to women. She tells me Commecial Department has not yet validated my order. She doesnt know why. She tells me to phone them and gives me the Number.
7th Phone Call: Polokwe tells me my order is assigned to a project. The Exchange is full and they need to plug a new card in. They dont have the FINANCES and a new card will only be added to the exchange in 4 - 16 months.
