Are we allowed to import vitamins (A,B,C, D, etc) and multivitamins into the country without a permit?

Anyone done this before and knows the import dutys applicable?

It's a Grey Area. Solgar had big problems with the Medicines Control council a few years ago. It's the strength of the vitamins that was the issue plus some local companies who wanted to corner the market just like they've cornered the bodybuilding supplement market and booted the Americans out. But you def will need import permit of some kind- if you can get it.
By the way, I don't believe the label claims on any single product made in this country any more unless it has been verified by an independent lab.

Do you trust Solal products? They are quite expensive!

Ja, these "international" drug and vitamin companies that spam the internet have been exposed several times in the media. They charge exorbitant prices and most of the time the drugs are fake and contain dangerous chemicals. Seriously dodgy.
Stay away. Buy from a reputable retailer.
