Yes... screw apple because they've been overloaded with requests for OS3.0 and you can't get it 1 day after its released...

Just be patient and it will become available soon enough....

I'm busy installing the OS, downloaded the upgrade in iTunes 8.2, was 230.1mb big.
Backup phone took about 3 minutes, OS install busy now as I speak...
Anyone else have it running?

Well, it seems my firewall (Little Snitch) was blocking something that iTunes was trying to connect to. I looked through the rules and didn't see anything obvious, and I was too busy to tcpdump it, so I don't know what it was. But after disabling Little Snitch, activation went through without a problem.
